23rd dictation. Emma

This dictation was a bit difficult for me, because there were some words that I couldn't understand very well, because I'm not used to listen to them. But when I saw the text written I realized that I know and understandthose words. It wasn't very difficult to hear, the speaker did it easy, in my opinion.
The topic wasn't very easy to understand, because of those words that I couldn't understand at first. But Then, i realized that it's an interesting topic.

22nd dictation. Lord of the Flies

This wasn't very difficult, although I had some troubles. There were some words difficult to understand. I knew some of them, but I couldn't understand them propperly. The sepeaker talked clearly, vocalizing very well, what facilitated the comprehesion.
The text is about an interesting topic, which is respect to some people, specially older ones.

21st dictation. Sons and Lovers

It wasn't ery difficult, because I think the vocabulary was easy. Of course, there were some words that were more dificult than the others, and the espeaker went so fast, so sometimes it was hard to understand. Those were the only complications.
It's a nice, mystical and ambigouos text about love.

20th dictation. Remains of the day

It was a little bit difficult for me, because I could't undesrtand some of the words. There were words that I understand when I read it, but I can't understand it easly when I herad it. It also depends on the pronunciation and speed of the speaker. In this dictation, the speaker talk fast for me, so I couldn't understand it very well. However, I could understand the sense of the text in general, and what was it about.
I agree with the reason that are given. I think that the English countryside is beautiful, maybe ine of the most bautiful all around the world. But I think it's not the most beautiful.

19th dictation. Earthly Powers

The dictation was difficult for me, because the vocabulary was very difficult. There were words that I had never herad before, and some words that I couldnn't understand although I knew them. I didn't find the pronunciation very clear, maybe because I didn't understand some words.

I didn't understand very well the sense of the text. Obviously, the first part is a description of a character, but I can't find the relation with the second part, which goes about poker. 

18th dictation. Numbers

This dictation wasn't very difficult. The only complication was that I didn't understand at first the name of some mathematical operations. But, in general, it was easy to understand.
The trick is very popular, but i still don't know how does it work. I'd like to know it.

17th dictation. The Emperor's clothes

This dictation was easy to understand for me, beacuse the vocabulary was very common, and the way the text was writtenwas nice and esay to understand, very fluent, maybe because it's an children's story.
The text belongs to a very popular story between the kids, everybody knows it. It's very nice to listen to it again.

16th dictation. The Owl

This dictation was a bit easier, because the vocabulary was more common, at least for me. The pronuciation and entonation was ver clear and fluent, and it made it easier to understand. It's true that there were two or three words that were more difficult, but in general, it was easy.
It's a nice topic, about the animals in the wood, and with a beautiful intention.

15th dictation. Prufrock

The dictation was a litle bit difficult for me, because it includded vocabulary that i don't know, so I couldn't understand some parts of the text. Buit was a poem, so the rhyme helped to understand it. The speaker read the poem slowly and very cleraly, so it was also a help.
It's a nice poem about growing old and the consecuencies that it brings, and how to act when you realize it's happening.

14th dictation. 1984

It wasn't too difficult, because the eader pronuonced well, but it had some concret parts where the text was a little bit harder. But, fortunatelly, the vocabulary wasn't too difficult.
The text is a ppart of an interesting novel which I've heard obout that it's great. And it's a good sight of the society.

13th dictation. Pooh

This dictation wsn't very difficult. It's true that sometimes it uses words that are a bit difficult, but it general, it could be understood well. There also appear two or three rare words, but it didn't make the dictation much more difficult.

The text is very nice for me, because a really liked Winnie the Pooh when I was a child. And the topic it's funny and nice too, because it shows the most important features of the character. It's a very usual plot.

12th dictation. The Wolf

It  was a little more difficult than others because the pronunciation was harder to understand and the vocabulary wasn't very common. But, when I realized that it was Little Red Riding Hood story, it got easier for me.
The story is extrange for its ending, and very interesting and nice. It gives a funny feature to the clasical story.

11th dictation. Routine.

I found the dictaion easy, but the numbers complicated a bit the understanding, because they are always a little bit harder to understand that other words.
The tpopic is, like in the previous, comical, but with some seripous feautures. Of course, the end is very unexpected, but that's what makes the listening interesting.

10th dictation. The Cementery

Fortunately, I could understand it well, I found easy the vocabulary and the pronunciation.
The topic is funny, like a joke, but with a message at the end that makes us think that the story could be diferrent that we thought.

9th dictation. A tale of two Cities

Fortunatlley, I could understand it very well because the pronuncianton was extremelly clear and slow. It also helped that the text had a rhythm and repeated the structures of the sentences.
It's a nice and beautifull text, with its contradictions.

8th dictation. The unicorn

I could understand it easily, because the pronunciation was very clear. Sometimes it was more difficult to understand because the pronunciation was worse o the words more diffficult, but it didn't prevent me tu understand the text.
About the topic, it's funny and nice, and very irreal and extrange.

7th dictation. East of Eden

I found it difficult because it was too long and because the speaker enumerated a lot of sustantives, and some of them were difficult. In fact, I could take a good number of suntatives, but not all of them.
The topic talks about the characteristics and defests of the human being, and it's right in the majority of them.

6th dictation. Charlie and the chocolate factory

It was a bit difficult, because it was very long and beacuse the speaker used some difficult words, which weren't easy to understand. However, I could understand it reasonably good without many fails.
The topic is nice, it talks about a person who doesn't want to be with grown-up people, because they wouldn't understand him.

5th dictation. That man

I was coming down the stair
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish that man would go away.


Fortunately, I could understand it easily. I only had problems with the first word of the text, but then I heard it properly and I could complete the dictation.

4th dictation. Numbers

Seven eights are fifty-six. Sixty divided by four is fifteen. Six over two is three. Seven multiplied by six is forty-two. Thirty-nine over thirteen is three. Seventy seventeen. Eighteen eighty. Sixty sixteen.


This dictation was a bit difficult because numbers and mathematical operations are always difficult to understand, and more if you have to write it very quickly, Fortunately, we can listes to it three times, so I could write it fairly good.

3rd dictation. Tears and laughs

The tears of the world are a constat quantity. For each person who begins to cry, somewhere else another stops. The same is true of the laugh. It's a very beautifull sentence, and it could be true, why not? It wasn't very easy to understand. Although I understood almost everything, there were some words that I didn't understod.

2nd dictation. Strange food.

I eat peas with honey.
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny,
but it keeps them on the knife.


It's very extrange, eating peas with honey, but everyone eats whats he wants.
I didn't found it very difficult, only the last sentence, that I couldn't understand very well, especially the last words, but the facta tat it was in verse and that rhymed made it a bit easier.

I have a cat called Trotsky. Every night she sits with me and watches TV. She likes everything on TV-well, almost everything. I eat fast food, and she eats fish or chicken with me in front of the TV. I drink beer or coke, and she drinks milk.


It's about a pet that acts like a person. Thats very nice, and I'm sure that so many pets act like him.
I found it very easy, and I could understand and write it the first time I listened to it.
